The New Beginnings: Growth Into 2026

I know—it can feel so annoying when January hits and suddenly it’s new year, new me everywhere. But for me, this moment isn’t about reinventing myself overnight. It’s about recognizing how much I’ve already grown.

The last six months of 2025 taught me more than I expected, especially right after graduation. It was an emotional rollercoaster—full of uncertainty, lessons, and quiet realizations. I learned through conversations with my family, moments with friends, and even through the environments I found myself navigating. Graduation doesn’t come with a manual. You’re left asking questions like: What does the world look like now? How do you fill your time? How do you find a job? Who are you without a syllabus?

Personally, I don’t have my dream job yet. I’m still learning what healthy friendships look like, and I’m pushing myself to experience independence without always leaning on the people I love. And honestly, that’s okay. Growth doesn’t need to be rushed—it needs to be lived.

Lately, I’ve been finding comfort and inspiration in the little rituals that ground me. I’ve been deep into Sex and the City—all the shows and movies—falling in love with Charlotte’s optimism while realizing I relate a little too much to Carrie’s inner dialogue and messy growth. With Bridgerton coming out this week, I’m fully seated and excited, and I’ve also been rewatching A Different World. There’s something timeless about the relationship between Dwayne and Whitley—the growth, the patience, the love that evolves. It reminds me that becoming isn’t linear, and neither is love.

Outside of the screen, I’m intentionally pouring into real life too. This month is about showing up—hosting craft nights, bringing line dancing back into my life with my queens, and trying new food spots just because. These moments might seem small, but they’re shaping the version of me I’m growing into.

As I move into 2026, this blog becomes my space to document that growth—not perfectly, but honestly.

My Goals for This New Beginning

Short-Term Goals

  • Renew and relaunch my blog with clarity, consistency, and intention

  • Make time for meaningful social connections by seeing each friend at least once a month

  • Prioritize self-care and my overall health—mentally, emotionally, and physically

  • Grow my social media presence and promotion as part of building my personal brand

  • Celebrate myself fully by giving myself an amazing, intentional birthday

Long-Term Goals

  • Take at least one major trip that challenges and inspires me

  • Build healthy, loving relationships rooted in growth and respect

  • Secure a job that aligns with my goals, creativity, and future vision

  • Move into my own apartment and create a space that truly feels like home

  • Make smart financial decisions that support stability and freedom

Along the way, I’m choosing joy—discovering new shows, romanticizing friendships, dancing again, and allowing myself to explore without guilt. This season isn’t about having everything figured out. It’s about honoring where I am while intentionally stepping toward what’s next.

Welcome to my new beginning
